Privacy policy

Foxfind (foxfind.net) is operated by VANTAGE POINT BLOGGING SERVICES, Oud Metha, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). Foxfind helps businesses find other local businesses on Google Maps, check that they fit, and email them from the customer's own mailbox. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. Questions: info@foxfind.net.
It covers two groups of people:
- Customers: people who sign up for Foxfind and their team members.
- Business contacts: people at the businesses our customers find and email, for example a venue's general manager or its info@ address.
1. Customers
What we collect. Your name, email address and organisation when you sign up; your team members and their roles; your billing details (Stripe holds your card; we never see the full card number); the mailboxes you connect, including their login details; your settings, search profiles, email templates and the business address you add for the email footer; and records of what you and the service do (for example searches run, emails sent, replies received, usage for billing and security logs).
Why. To provide the service you signed up for, take payment, keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, give support and meet legal obligations. Our legal bases are the contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and protecting the service, and legal obligations.
Your mailbox. Foxfind logs in to the mailboxes you connect to send your emails, copy them to your Sent folder and read new mail in your inbox so it can stop a sequence when someone replies or bounces. It never deletes your mail or marks it as read. Mailbox passwords are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and never written to logs.
2. Business contacts
Where the data comes from. Business listings from Google Maps (through Google's official Places API: name, address, website, category and rating); email addresses published on the business's own website; lists our customers import; and, only if a customer connects their own Apollo account, a named decision-maker's work email. We do not scrape Google Maps and never access LinkedIn.
Why. So our customers can contact businesses that are likely to want their offer. An AI model checks each business against the customer's description and writes a one-sentence opening line using only facts from the business's own listing and website. Emails are business-to-business, sent from the customer's own mailbox and stop as soon as anyone at the business replies.
Who decides. Each customer decides which businesses to contact and what to send, and is responsible for doing so lawfully. For that outreach the customer is the controller of the data and we process it on their behalf. Our customers rely on their legitimate interest in business-to-business outreach.
Opting out. Every email has an unsubscribe link and the sender's name and business address; replying “stop” works too. An opt-out takes effect immediately and permanently for that customer. To stop all contact through Foxfind or to ask what data we hold about you, email info@foxfind.net and we'll handle it with the customer concerned.
Bounces. When an email address bounces permanently, we keep that address and the bounce date on a shared list so no Foxfind customer emails a dead address again. Nothing else about you or the sender is shared between customers, and no customer can see which other customers contact a business.
3. AI
We use Anthropic's Claude models to judge whether a business fits, to write opening lines and draft email templates, and to classify replies that our rules can't (for example “interested” or “out of office”). The model receives only the data needed for that task, such as a short excerpt of a business's website or the text of a reply. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API isn't used to train its models. AI output is checked by rules before use, and customers can review every email before it's sent.
4. Who we share data with
We don't sell personal data. We use these service providers, each only for the purpose given:
- Clerk: sign-in and account management.
- Stripe: payments, invoices and subscriptions.
- Anthropic: the AI tasks described above.
- Google Maps Platform: finding businesses.
- OpenStreetMap: the map and place search in the app (your browser loads map images from OpenStreetMap's servers).
- Apollo: only for customers who connect their own Apollo account.
- Your email provider: emails are sent and read through the mailbox you connect.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users from fraud or abuse.
5. Where data is stored
Foxfind's servers and database are in the United Arab Emirates. Some providers above, including Clerk, Stripe, Anthropic and Google, process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the UAE or the European Economic Area, we rely on the providers' contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep data
- Customer accounts and their data: while the account is active.
- Google listing details (such as a business's name, address and rating): refreshed or cleared after 30 days, as Google's terms require. We keep Google's place identifier and our own results.
- Named contacts found through Apollo or added by hand who were never emailed: deleted after 180 days.
- Unsubscribes and permanent bounces: kept so we never email that address again.
- After an account is closed, or when someone asks us to delete their data, we delete it unless we must keep it for legal, tax or security reasons; copies in backups expire with those backups.
7. Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Mailbox passwords and connected API keys are encrypted at rest. Each customer's data is kept separate in the database, with checks at the application and database level so one customer can never read another's data. Access to production systems is limited to the people who run Foxfind.
8. Cookies
The website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and our emails contain no tracking pixels and no rewritten links. When you sign in, Clerk sets the cookies needed to keep you signed in; these are strictly necessary for the service.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the UAE's Personal Data Protection Law and the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how it's used, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email info@foxfind.net; we'll reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity. If you're a business contact, we may pass your request to the customer who controls the data. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Foxfind is a business service and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell customers by email or in the app.
